2018 WSSDA Officer Elections
Online elections for WSSDA officers run from 8/28-9/29
Applications for the WSSDA officer positions of president-elect and vice president have been accepted. The Nominating Committee will check references, then interview the applicants on July 29. Candidates up for election will be announced by August 2. Please prepare to vote for your preferred candidates. A few minutes reviewing the online candidate bios (available in August) and making a couple check marks on your electronic ballot might put your candidate of choice in office for at least a year.
Your 2018 officers will be led by Marnie Maraldo from Issaquah (current president-elect) as president. The newly elected officers will be a president-elect, who could be from anywhere in the state, and a vice president from western Washington.

Other Opportunities for WSSDA Involvement
A number of board and committee member positions are up for election each year. Nominations and voting will occur during the director area caucus meetings at the WSSDA Annual Conference.
WSSDA board positions are for three-year terms. These board members serve as director area representatives, help interpret WSSDA Bylaws and vote on policies and budget. You can learn more about board member duties in the WSSDA Bylaws, Article VII, Section 4.
Members of elected committees serve two-year terms of office. The duties of each of the elected committees are explained in the WSSDA Bylaws on pages 8-10. WSSDA also hosts a variety of task forces and committees with appointed positions. Most of these are for 1-year terms. Please submit an Interest and Involvement Form so we know to contact you if a position opens.
