As a school board member, you have an opportunity to be involved in WSSDA in a variety of ways. You can serve on one of the task forces dealing with current association issues, the Annual Conference Planning Committee, the Federal Relations Network or as a liaison representing WSSDA on a specific topic area (e.g., health and nutrition, special education, staff development, teacher preparation, school facilities, etc.).
Task Force members assist the WSSDA Board of Directors in achieving the association’s goals and in addressing issues of concern for school directors and public education in Washington State. Serving on a task force helps develop the leadership skills of the members.
The WSSDA President appoints members to serve on the Annual Conference Planning Committee and task forces. School Board members can also submit their names for possible appointment to the Federal Relations Network.
If you are interested in serving, please complete and submit the WSSDA Involvement/Interest Form. (pdf)
