Equity: From the Boardroom to the Classroom
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
AWSP, WASA, and WSSDA have partnered to offer the second annual Equity Conference.
The overall goal of this conference is to increase organizational leadership capacity by providing systemic strategies for equity and access so all students can achieve at a high level.
Participants from districts, ESDs and state agencies will focus on research-based high-leverage core practices necessary for organizational growth in leadership for equity.

Audience: District, ESD and state agency leaders. Teams are strongly encouraged.

Award-winning author, professor, village priest, storyteller, international speaker and consultant on the topic of cross-cultural communication. The Reverend Dr. Michael James Oleksa's four-part PBS television series, Communicating Across Cultures, has been widely acclaimed.
| Dr. Robin DiAngelo
Professor, author, consultant and two-time Educator of the Year recipient (University of Washington). Dr. DiAngelo has been a consultant and trainer for over 20 years on issues of racial and social justice. Her work has been featured in Salon, NPR, Slate, The Atlantic, The New York Times and The Seattle Times.
The day includes morning and afternoon breakout sessions by Washington state school leaders, as well as team time.
