Delegates from each school board in Washington state meet every September to adopt WSSDA’s legislative agenda for the coming session. Proposals are then prioritized by the delegates, the Legislative Committee and finally by the WSSDA Board of Directors.
Held each winter in Olympia, this conference helps school board Legislative Representatives hone their advocacy skills as they meet one-to-one with legislators to support proposals passed by the Legislative Assembly. This conference is held jointly with the Washington Association of School Administrators.
Conducted by the National School Boards Association, the Federal Relations Network Conference brings together school board delegates from around the country to get up-to-the-minute briefings on federal education issues and to take their advocacy message directly to their members of Congress on Capitol Hill. The FRN Conference takes place in early February in Washington, D.C.
