The Washington
School Boards’ Educational Foundation partners with
businesses and corporations to support the leadership and
governance training of school board members throughout the
state of Washington as they strive to improve student
achievement in their local communities. The Foundation
directly supports training and recognition programs provided
by the Washington State School Directors’ Association.
Since its inception in 1986 the Foundation’s
has provided more than $40,000 in scholarships and grants to
educators and annual cash awards to WSSDA School Boards
of the Year recipients.
School directors face enormous challenges in providing
students the opportunities that ensure success. Through the
support of contributions, the Foundation provides school
board members the tools they need to strengthen their
leadership role.
