| School board members
urged to participate in Delegate Assembly
Posted November 1, 2004
WSSDA President Sandy Collins is reminding school directors about
the importance of attending the association’s Delegate Assembly, which
takes place in conjunction with the WSSDA
Annual Conference
on Friday (Nov. 12) from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
"Delegate Assembly is the business meeting of our association,"
said Collins. "We have several important issues to consider this year,
including proposed revisions to the WSSDA Constitution and Bylaws."
All school board members are invited to attend the Delegate
Assembly, although only one board member from each district may vote
on any one agenda item. A preliminary agenda has already been mailed
to delegates for their review.
Delegates can file proposals with the WSSDA Resolutions Committee
until Nov. 10. All resolutions require the endorsement of four other
school boards. Please fax your resolution language to WSSDA at
360/493-9247. If you have questions, contact WSSDA at
360/493-9231or mail@wssda.org. |
