| WSSDA fall online
courses begin Sept. 1
Posted June 28, 2006
WSSDA's online learning
opportunities continue this fall with four courses offered through
Seattle Pacific University. The 6- and 10-week course
topics include using data, board-superintendent relations, the Key
Work model and the newly developed course on engaging the community.
Participants praise the
opportunity to work with other board members, superintendents and
administrators around the state and the friendships and networks
they build during the stimulating learning process.
"WSSDA’s online courses
make it possible for board members to fit training into their busy
schedules," said Chuck Namit, WSSDA’s Assistant Executive Director
of Board Development. "They can learn at their own pace in the
comfort of their own homes."
These courses are
offered in conjunction with Seattle Pacific University. The cost for
all WSSDA/SPU courses is $75, which includes continuing education
units, or clock hours, or $150 for three units of academic college
credit. Participants must also purchase the books that accompany
each course.
Registrations for fall
courses are due August 18. For detailed information
