Math standards await legislative action
It’s now up to the Legislature to decide if revised K-12 mathematics standards developed over the past year will go into effect as written. Superintendent of Public Instruction Terry Bergeson delivered a final draft of the standards to lawmakers last Friday. The law says the standards will go into effect unless the Legislature takes action before its scheduled March 13 adjournment. Be sure to read
WSSDA’s Daily Legislative Updates for any developments on this issue. To view the latest version of the standards and other background information,
