The board has officer and non-officer positions. Officer elections
are held annually in the fall. Non-officer positions are filled by elections held during Director Area Caucus Meetings at WSSDA's annual conference. All board members begin their terms at the conclusion of the conference.
The board exercises general supervision over WSSDA's affairs and approves WSSDA’s annual budget. The board also carries the duty of effecting policies and programs adopted at meetings of WSSDA. To learn more, see Article VII, Section 4 in the WSSDA Bylaws
WSSDA has four elected committees: Legislative
and Interscholastic Activities
. Elected committee members serve two-year terms.

Some advisory committees and task forces are filled through appointment by the WSSDA board president. Those selected to serve typically do so as a representatives of their particular director area. If you'd like to be considered for appointment or be added to a list of volunteers who might fill unexpected vacancies, fill out the Member Interest Form.
