Every school director must complete training on the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA), Public Records Act (PRA) and records retention within 90 days of taking the oath of office following appointment or election.
There are two ways to complete the legal requirement for this training:
The Washington State Attorney General’s office provides a qualifying training session during WSSDA’s annual conference each November. A certificate of completion will be provided to those who complete the full 90-minute training. Advance registration is typically not required. The time and location will be posted in the annual conference app.
