The candidate filing window for WSSDA and the State Board of Education elections will be open September 1-16, 2026. As a reminder, there are no Educational Service District elections this year, as they occur every odd-numbered year.
Open positions include WSSDA’s Legislative, Nominating, Resolutions, and Interscholastic Activities Committees, and the State Board of Education’s Eastern Region Seat 2.
WSSDA president-elect and vice president positions are also open. Eligibility for vice president alternates annually between the eastern and western sides of the state. This year, candidates for vice president must come from the east side in WSSDA’s Director Areas 7-11.
School directors will be able to cast their votes electronically from October 1 to 16.
