The WSSDA Board of Directors established the Council of School Directors of Color with the stated purpose of “informing WSSDA in its efforts to attract, support, and retain diverse school boards.” The Council’s formation was one of 17 recommendations within the March 2022 Report to the WSSDA Board on WSSDA’s Role in Attracting, Supporting, and Retaining Diverse School Boards.
