Registration is open for the largest annual gathering of education policymakers in the state, the Washington State School Directors’ Association annual conference.
Early-bird rates are in effect through September 25, but hotel rooms tend to fill up quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
By the Numbers
Over 1000 attendees come to WSSDA’s conference each year, and the location alternates between the east and west sides of the state. Attendees get access to approximately 70 breakout sessions, two keynote speakers, and up to four pre-conference workshops to choose from.
New for Executive Assistants
For the first time, WSSDA is offering a pre-conference workshop specifically for executive assistants (EAs) titled “From Support to Strategy: The Executive Assistant as Governance Partner.” Designed exclusively for EAs supporting superintendents and school boards, it offers a rare chance to sharpen the legal and procedural precision your work demands, hear from colleagues doing the same work across Washington, and walk away with resources you can use immediately.
Impact: Our Theme for 2026
A shared desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people is common to every school board. With this year’s theme, we point out that fostering a positive impact includes:
- reflection and accountability
- learning and listening
- collaboration and engagement
- presence and celebration
