Thursday Nov. 16

Pre-Conference
9 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Attend one of three engaging workshops to learn from experts and deepen your knowledge. Advance registration is required, and lunch is included. See detailed workshop descriptions.

  • Board Boot Camp – Perfect for new school directors
  • Law Conference – Explore the latest legal issues surrounding K-12 education
  • Strategic Advocacy Academy – This new workshop will build your advocacy skills and confidence

Conference Begins
2:00 p.m.

The events happening in the afternoon are open to any conference registrant. While spots are limited for the OnBoard trainings at conference, ALL school directors and other conference attendees are invited to the President’s Dinner.

2:30 – 4:00 p.m.            Open Government Training – Advance registration not required. Arrive early.

2:15 – 5:15 p.m.            OnBoard: Deciphering District Budgets

2:30 – 5:00 p.m.            OnBoard: Foundations of Cultural Proficiency

5:15 – 7:30 p.m.            Social Hour & President’s Dinner – Come at 5:15-6:00 for social hour followed by a 6:00 dinner to connect with friends and colleagues from around the state. Includes recognition of the 2023 Boards of Distinction.

6:00 – 7:30 p.m.           Students’ Dinner – Designed especially for students at conference, this dinner includes activities, dinner, and the chance to meet other board representatives.

Friday evening Board’s Night Out – Enjoy exploring Bellevue’s various restaurants following the last breakout session for Boards’ Night Out! Join your fellow school directors and superintendents for this unique opportunity to socialize with your colleagues. Be sure you make reservations in advance! Use this tool for exploring local restaurants in the Bellevue area.
