My-Linh Thai has been elected to serve as the next vicepresident for the board of the Washington State School Directors’ Association(WSSDA).
Director Thai is currently serving as vice president ofBellevue School District’s school board, of which she has been a member since2013. She has also been a member of WSSDA’s board since 2016 representing Director Area 2.
During her time as a school director, Thai has served onWSSDA’s legislative committee, participated in the National School Board Association’s Federal Relations Network, and represents WSSDA on OSPI’s Educator Workforce Development Workgroup.
“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity,” said Thai. “WSSDAis the largest body of elected officials in the state. If we continue to connectcommunities and collaborate with decision makers, we will not only help the studentsof today, but also ensure a strong future for public education in Washingtonstate.”
