WSSDA PLATFORM REVISION WINDOW OPEN MARCH 11 THROUGH APRIL 8

platform revision window

Every school board has the opportunity to propose a revision, retirement, or addition to WSSDA’s platform of 225 positions from March 11 through April 8, 2024. Boards will vote on whether or not to adopt proposals at WSSDA’s annual General Assembly in the fall.

What school boards need to do

Substantive revisions or additions are required to refine WSSDA’s positions. With over 200 on the books already, school directors are encouraged to review them with an eye toward consolidation and retirement. Here are a couple of resources to help get started:

Consider engaging with a committee member

Discussing proposals with a member of the Legislative or Resolutions Committees could save time and help boards address the intent of their proposal as effectively as possible. The committees are composed of fellow school directors eager to help and support as needed. The committee members come from every corner of the state and are elected by their regional peers to represent them on those bodies.
