Proposal Window opens March 15

Once a year, school board members have the opportunity to submit proposals to amend existing positions or create new ones. The 2021 window for submitting proposals opens March 15 and closes May 14. Learn more about WSSDA positions.

Here’s the approximate 2021 timeline from proposal to adoption:

March 15 – May 14
Window open for submitting permanent and legislative position proposals (closes at 5:00 pm)

May – June
WSSDA committees review and refine positions for consideration by the General Assembly

July
Internal production of handbook

August
Release handbook and help boards get ready for the assembly

August – September
General Assembly orientation webinars offered

September
General Assembly

October
WSSDA’s strategic advocacy and communications teams, board of directors, and Legislative Committee work on drafting priorities for the 2022 legislative session
