The Washington School Boards’ Educational Foundation is offering a handful of scholarships to eligible WSSDA members to cover the registration fees for Legislative Assembly and Annual Conference. Even members who have already registered for Annual Conference may apply and receive reimbursement if their application is successful. The Legislative Assembly application form and process is slightly different.
“We’re glad to be able to offer scholarships for WSSDA events,” said Cindy Kelly, scholarships chair for the foundation and former WSSDA Board member. “The foundation has been doing this for 11 years. As long as funds are available, we look for opportunities to help members engage with WSSDA.”
Formed in 1986, the foundation provides support to school board directors in strengthening their leadership skills and abilities to improve student achievement.
The Washington School Boards’ Educational foundation holds a silent auction of donated items at each WSSDA Annual Conference. To participate in the auction or learn more about the Washington School Boards’ Educational Foundation, contact Auction Chair Cindy Kelly at 360-452-9413.
