WSSDA Platform Revision Window Open through April 20

April 1-20 is every school board’s opportunity to propose a revision, retirement, or addition to WSSDA’s platform of 239 positions. School boards will vote on whether or not to adopt proposals at WSSDA’s annual general assembly in the fall.

What’s needed?

Substantive revisions or additions are what’s required to refine WSSDA’s positions. Also, with over 200 on the books already, school directors are encouraged to review the positions with an eye toward consolidation and retirement.

What’s recommended?

Discussing proposals with a member of the Legislative or Resolutions Committees could save time and help directors address the intent of their proposal as effectively as possible. The committees are composed of fellow school directors from every region of the state and are ready to provide support.

Join the Discussion

April 5, WSSDA strategic advocacy duo Marissa Rathbone and Logan Endres will lead a discussion over Zoom about the importance of participating in the platform revision process and strategies for reviewing existing positions. School directors should’ve received an email with a Zoom registration link yesterday.
